Workshop Details

Wood Window Repair-Advanced is a fun and intense, three-day, hands-on learning experience. Students will learn the woodworking necessary to rebuild wood sashes and jambs.

This is a tuition-based class with a limit of 8 students. You will be working side-by-side all three days with instructor Bob Yapp. Bob is nationally recognized as one of the top experts in window restoration and has made or restored over 10,000 windows in his 51-year career.

This will be an intense, learn-by-doing opportunity. You will learn: real wood Dutchman repairs, rail replacement, jamb repairs, epoxy repairs, muntin repairs, safe paint & glass removal and glazing putty application. At the end of the three days you will know from beginning to end, how to completely repair a wood window and jamb & receive a “Certificate of Completion”.

Homeowners, small contractors, preservation staff, preservation commission members, hp students and historic building owners will all benefit from this hands-on, traditional training event. All folks registering should have either taken our “Window Restoration & Weatherization Boot Camp” or have some good, basic woodworking experience.

Tuition for this three-day workshop is $695 and includes beverages and lunch.  Space is limited to eight students in each session and pre-registration is required.
