I am studying how to replace the rope and weights in my double hungs; I can see the plate to access the pulley system on the lower window, but I see no access to the upper. Of course it is the upper window(s) that want to come crashing down as soon as I open the bottom! do you think I have to remove parting bead to get to that upper window?
